Wedding Photography

I have now been photographing weddings since July 2006 and absolutely love every one I've had the honour of being contracted for. My style for a wedding, as is often the case these days, is to work with the intention of creating a storybook album which describes the entire day from the bride and her cast getting ready in the morning, through the ceremony and the more formal photographs afterwards, to the celebration after the meal where people finally begin to relax and enjoy themselves. In most cases I will be present right up to the point the new bride and groom depart late at night in order to ensure your album contains a record of the full day. I feel this allows you to browse through your album in years to come and remember everything that happened and not just the more formal parts of the day.

What
As mentioned in the introduction, I provide a full day photography service. This ensures you have the full day captured and presented in a well designed quality album. In addition to the wedding day itself, the cost includes a portrait session with me a few months beforehand which many couples use to add a photograph to the invitations or thank you cards - of course, some couples just enjoy having a relaxed portait session. Wherever possible, I also make an effort to attend a wedding rehearsal as it gives me the chance to meet the person conducting the wedding as well as additional family members before the day itself.

Where
I will cover any location within reasonable travelling distance of Glasgow without additional cost. If I feel the distance is too great to travel there and back on the day, I will consider the cost of transport and accomodation before giving you a fixed additional charge that will not change. Once I know the location of the wedding itself, I will look into options for the formal photographs after the ceremony and take your own advice if you have a preference of location.

Timing
I am all too aware how well scheduled the sequence of events on a wedding day can be and how important it is to ensure that I work to those timings precisely. I will plan each section of the day carefully and I will have backup plans should there be less time for the formal photography than expected due to an overun during the service itself. I will do everything possible to ensure that the services I provide do not cause you additional stress on your wedding day!

Cost
My prices are for the point you book, not for when the wedding is being held. I also break my pricing down into the photography itself, the album and any extras you might require. I find this allows far greater ability to put together a package that is perfect for your own desires, rather than being shoehorned into a generic set of three offerings.

For bookings taken during 2012, the cost for the photography is £950 with a £250 deposit being required to secure your booking and the remainder payable six weeks before the wedding. Albums can start as low as £100 for something simple, with a good quality and fairly large album costing in the region of £650. I also provide small guest albums, for £35 each, which cover the entire day as your own will.
