I started out as a landscape and natural history photographer, striving to ensure there was no trace of anything constructed by humans in the photographs. Yet over the past several years I've found beauty in many constructed objects and have increasingly made an effort to capture their essence in my work. I often take a fairly abstract photograph of the object as I find concentrating on a single aspect can be both more challenging and result in a stronger photographic image than capturing a simple replica of whatever is before me.
