There is a good chance that you have spent a considerable amount of time creating a home environment that reflects your personality and within which you feel safe and comfortable. Perhaps this extends to your garden or there is an outdoor area which you truly love being in. Regardless which come closest to your own truth, I will use one or more of these locations to capture and present lifestyle photographs of you, your family and friends that you will treasure.
I will allow you the option of traditionally posed portraits or more adventurous and contemporary settings. These will then be available to you in a wide range of formats including single and multi-photograph frames, canvas prints, curved frames, acrylic prints and photobooks. I am constantly looking for additional presentation methods, so have a look at the Presentation tab for a list and description of what I am currently using.
Before the shoot
Before you commit to a shoot I will meet with you to discuss the options and locations available. This will also allow you to view a printed copy of my portfolio which is a much higher quality than the low resolution images in my on-line portfolio!
If you then choose to arrange a portrait session with me, there will be a £130 charge which should be made at the point of booking a suitable day and time.
During the shoot
I will arrive at either your home or agreed location as close to the stated time as possible, allowing for unexpected traffic conditions. As I will be carrying a reasonable amount of equipment, please allow a corner of an easily accessible main room to be used as a storage and staging area.
Once present I will usually have an idea of some photograph options from my first visit, but will be actively looking for additional options. Please do not hesitate to tell me of any thoughts you have had on locations or poses! Weather permitting, I will usually make good use of your garden or nearby outdoor location as well as your home, as this will increase the range of photographs available for you to choose from.
When the shoot is complete I will quickly pack away my equipment and depart.
After the shoot
Typically within a week or two of the shoot, I will provide one DVD slide show along with a printed index sheet in order for you to select and identify which photographs you wish to order. If for any reason you are unable to play a DVD, please notify me before the end of the photo shoot to ensure I provide a proof medium you can view.
Once you have selected which photographs you would like, it is time to decide how you would like each prepared and finally to complete and order form. I will be available to advise on which options may suit a particular photograph if desired.
Once I have received your completed order with payment, you should expect to receive your photographs within a couple of weeks. I will normally deliver these in person at a time that suits.
Following is a selection of the presentation options I offer along with brief information and sample pricing. The options will change from time to time and this list may not show everything available.
DVD slide show
With the prevalence of DVD players and home computers able to play DVDs, this is becoming a standard option and rightly so. Simply turn your TV on, place the DVD into your player, sit back and enjoy the photographs from your shoot whenever you want to. When used to allow you to select which photographs you want to order after the shoot, you get to see the photographs in as high a quality and size as you have a TV. Far better than small proofs where you struggle to see the detail.

Original Photographs DVD
For those of you who want to use me simply as a photographer, but be able to print your own photographs, convert for a website or generally do anything you can think of with them, this is the option for you! I will provide every photograph from your shoot on a DVD. These will be supplied as both the original camera file and one other format of your choice (TIFF or JPEG are popular).

Just Prints
I recognise that sometimes you may want to present the portraits in your own unique style or simply want the ease of posting of an unframed print. Small prints will be supplied in a simple cardboard slip while larger ones will be placed into a postal tube. This ensures they will be protected while you decide how to use them.

Framed Prints
I use a wide range of high quality frames to ensure there is something that will suit your personal style. The ranges will change from time to time as trends move in differing directions, but always ensuring there will be options for the more traditional tastes along with the ultra-modern.

Canvas Wraps
Quite simply, this is the process of printing a photograph onto a medium like artists canvas in order to give it a coarse, painted effect. These are supplied as a stretched canvas print and are generally hung as they are, although you may have it framed if you prefer.

Curves
This is a particularly contemporary frame you are likely to fall in love with or hate with a passion! I find it suits a certain type of photograph more than others and will advise you if I believe you have an image particularly suited to it or warn if I believe a photograph you have chosen for this option simply will not work.

Acrylic
There are two ways these can be done and opinion varies as to which is better, so I will usually try to offer both. The first is nice and simple, a photographic print is mounted between two sheets of hard acrylic. The second can be highly effective given the right image as the photograph is printed directly onto the acrylic. Both options will sit flat against your wall but slightly away from it. This second option does not print white, so when placed on a white or light coloured wall, can add an almost 3D effect.

Black Medite Blocks
These are very stylish photo blocks with the photograph on the front and an 18mm deep black edge and come with a hanging kit ready to be placed where the deep effect will be most prominent.
